ALT Insider - Teaching Truman Blog

A great channel supported by a podcast network that discusses relevant topics to help you understand the fundamentals of an ALT, as well as working with JET! ALT Insider has also had live broadcasts before, so be sure to check those out if you're interested in particpating in the discussions.

#9 Bee in Japan

Exciting vlogs that showcases unique content from a vloggers perspective. Bee in Japan also has a great mini-series from 2015 exploring her life in Japan!

#8 JET Program Video Contest

The JET Programme Video Contest has amazing videos from all corners of Japan! Gain some exciting insight into the daily lives of many JETs, whilst enjoying some relevant information about many prefectures and cities!

#7 Midwest in the Far East

A great perspective on things to do when applying for the JET Program can be found in her JET playlist! Definitely check out her video about her first month in Japan! This video will cover tons of helpful info, so take notes!

Cara is a well-known JET candidate with an exceptional channel that brings people from all reaches together to see what life will be like for you on this journey! Her videos stretch across multiple areas such as money, housing and lifestyle! She also shares her personal situations that have happened and how she has overcame them. Her rural Japan videos have brought so much success and support that she's moving to Tokyo to pursue other exciting prospects brought about after life as a JET ALT.

You may have seen his video about the sirens going off in the morning, but his YouTube is full of laughter, insight and life in Japan. A former JET ALT, you can also see that there is indeed life and opportunities for yourself after JET! Residing in Japan will give you so much opportunity to travel, so take some time to watch his journey around Japan to give you some ideas for a weekend trip to Hokkaido!
